Pet Friendly Bed and Breakfast Accommodations
As pet owners ourselves with three cats in residence,
we are pleased to welcome guests who travel with their pets.
Our Pet Policy
As pet owners ourselves with three cats in residence,
we are pleased to welcome guests with well behaved, house-broken
pets. Since we are concerned about the well-being of our own pets,
it is important that visiting pets are controllable around cats.
Dogs who are instantly impelled to an excited frenzy at the sight of
a cat or another visiting dog are, of course, not compatible with
the guests and residents in our home.
Bed and breakfasts, as well as hotels, motels, and other lodging and accommodations
frequently seem to anticipate that there will be too many problems
if they accept visitors
with pets. In our experience, they have little to worry about. People who travel with their pets
are some of the most responsible people we have met. With very few
exceptions, we have found that pet owners are considerate of others,
careful to prevent their pets from doing damage and diligent in
exercising control of their pets.
The following are some of the ways that we see pet
owners exercising the appropriate care to ensure their pets exhibit good guest manners:
- pets are kept off the furniture
- pets sleep on the floor or in their travel kennels
- pets are kept in guest's room except when they
accompany their owners on leashes
outside for walks
- owners clean up and "scoop up" after their pets
If your pet is accustomed to conducting himself as
outlined above, he is welcome as a guest in our home.
Rates for accommodation with pets include a
$10 per night charge for each pet.
